Single Tickets

Get access to buses, trains, and the metro with a single ticket

A single ticket gives you access to all modes of public transport for a single journey. We recommend a single ticket if you only plan to use public transport a few times during your stay.

Adults

In Denmark, you are classified as an adult from the age of 16 and will need a valid adult ticket to travel by public transport.

Children

Two children under 12 can travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

Animals

Small dogs or other animals, carried in a bag or similar, are considered hand-luggage and travel free of charge. Larger dogs or other pets require a single children’s ticket.

All service animals travel free of charge.

Bicycles

Bicycles may be brought along free of charge onboard S-trains, buses, and harbour buses in the Copenhagen City Area. Buses can carry two bicycles, unless the space is occupied by a stroller or mobility aid for the disabled. The individual bus driver decides whether or not there is sufficient space on the bus to fit your bicycle.

A bicycle ticket is required when bringing a bicycle with you on the metro or on regional trains (DSB InterCity-, InterCityLyn-, Lyn+ and regional trains).
